UPDATE: due to the delay in FAFSA information 
The US Department of Education has announced a delay in releasing FAFSA applicant data to colleges and universities until mid-March.  This will result in students possibly not receiving aid offers until early to mid-April.  The scholarship committee is going to keep the April 5th scholarship application deadline, but they are going to allow students to use the Federal Student Aid Estimator at https://studentaid.gov/aid-estimator/ to estimate their Student Aid Index. Students should also upload a screenshot of the estimate, add it to their application, and make some notation on their application that this is only an estimate.  If students receive any FAFSA information or financial aid offers before the April 5th  deadline, they should include the information in their application. 

West Kerr Community Scholarship is now open. The West Kerr Community Scholarship is offering 2 scholarship applications: one for Vocational/Technical and one for College/University.

The Nelson Puett Foundation Scholarship is attached. This is a $28,000 scholarship paid in 8-semester payments of $3500.00 each. 
The selection process is based on the potential for scholastic success in college. Candidates must have good moral character and an example of good civil conduct and demonstrate a legitimate need for financial assistance.

Community Foundation Scholarship  Application is open.
The deadline to apply is February 8, 2024
Important: This is a universal application - you need only submit once and you will be considered for all scholarships held at the Community Foundation for which you are eligible.

The McLaughlin Doty Foundation Scholarship application.  

 I have attached an information sheet with all the specific details about the scholarship and a copy of the application.  The application is lengthy, so please take your time. 
McLaughlin Doty is aware of the changes being made to the FAFSA application this year and how this will affect the timing of financial aid offers.  They are encouraging students to complete as much of the application as they can while they are waiting on financial aid information.  Students should wait to submit their applications until they have the absolute most up-to-date information possible at the time of the application deadline.  McLaughlin Doty will not review any applications until after the deadline on March 8th, so there is no benefit to submitting applications early.

Knights of Columbus Father Henry Kemper Council Scholarship application for graduating seniors who plan to attend a University, 2-year College, or Technical School. Attached is this year's application form for the Knights of Columbus scholarship. All applications are due to the counselor's office on Thursday, March 28. There is a counselor component to the application, do not wait until the day you turn the application in to ask for that portion to be filled out.
